Terms & Conditions

Effective: August 21, 2026 Last reviewed: August 21, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Asymmetric Health website and services. By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refund Policy.

Please also review our Notice of Privacy Practices and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Those documents describe how we handle your health information and how you can exercise your rights over it.

Asymmetric Health is operated by Asymmetric Health, PLLC, located at 8282 28th Ct NE, Suite C, Lacey, WA 98516.

Not Emergency Services

Our services are not intended for medical emergencies and do not provide urgent or after-hours care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and physically located in the State of Washington at the time of each visit, whether that visit is in our office or by telehealth. We confirm eligibility, including your ability to meet this requirement, before ordering laboratory testing or scheduling your provider visit.

Medical Providers

Care is provided by licensed providers authorized to practice in Washington. All diagnosis and treatment decisions are made solely by the treating provider in accordance with applicable state and federal law.

Telehealth

We offer telehealth visits to patients located in Washington. Telehealth is not a replacement for in-person care and is not appropriate for all conditions. It does not permit physical examination, and your provider may require an in-person visit, laboratory testing or referral before or during treatment. You may decline telehealth and request in-person care at any time.

AI-Assisted Documentation

We use an AI documentation tool, Empathia AI, to assist with clinical note-taking during visits. Consent to its use is obtained through the consent form you complete before your first appointment. You may decline the use of this tool, and your care and access to our services are not affected by that decision. Empathia AI operates under a written Business Associate Agreement.

Prescriptions

Medications are prescribed only when medically appropriate following evaluation by a licensed provider and in accordance with applicable law. No prescription is guaranteed, and evaluation or membership does not entitle you to any medication. We are not a pharmacy and do not dispense medications.

Prescriptions for commercially available medications sent to a pharmacy may include refills, generally limited to a six-month supply, so that continued therapy is reviewed at reasonable intervals. Prescriptions for compounded medications are issued without refills. Each subsequent fill of a compounded medication must be requested by the patient and is reviewed by a provider for continued clinical appropriateness before it is authorized. A provider may require completed laboratory testing, a follow-up visit, or both before authorizing any additional prescription or refill. These decisions rest with the treating provider.

Some medications we prescribe are compounded or prescribed for uses not approved by the FDA. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are dispensed.

Controlled Substances

We prescribe controlled substances only when clinically indicated and in compliance with state and federal law. Patients prescribed controlled substances must agree to and follow our controlled substance policy, which may include a single-prescriber requirement, prescription monitoring program review, periodic laboratory testing, and limits on early or replacement refills. We may decline to prescribe, or discontinue prescribing, at our clinical discretion.

Identity Verification

We verify patient identity before initiating care and may require verification again before prescribing. Where a controlled substance is prescribed, we take additional steps to confirm your identity as federal and state law require, which may include collecting your Social Security number. We may withhold services if identity cannot be verified.

Pharmacy Options and Fulfillment

When a provider issues a valid prescription, you choose where it is filled. Your provider will present the options available for your medication. Three paths are available.

Local retail pharmacy. Commercially available medications can be transmitted electronically to a retail pharmacy you name. You pay that pharmacy directly at pickup, under its own pricing and terms.

Cash-pay mail-order pharmacy. Some commercially available medications can be sent to a cash-pay mail-order pharmacy that ships to you. That pharmacy bills you directly under its own terms.

Compounding pharmacy. Where a compounded medication is prescribed, you may name your own compounding pharmacy, or have the prescription routed through our prescription routing partner, Refill, to one of the compounding pharmacies listed below.

All pharmacies operate independently and are responsible for preparation, dispensing, shipping and compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations.

How Listed Pharmacies Are Selected

Compounded prescriptions routed through Refill are filled by pharmacies in Refill’s network. As of August 21, 2026, Refill represents that it holds LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification and that it applies LegitScript’s requirements, including current state licensure, to the pharmacies in its network. Where you name your own pharmacy, your prescription is transmitted electronically to the pharmacy you identify.

Medication Billing

Depending on the fulfillment path you choose, medications are billed to you by Refill, by the pharmacy, or manufacturer program directly. Asymmetric Health does not bill you for medications.

Asymmetric Health receives no commission, rebate or referral payment from any pharmacy in connection with a prescription, and receives no payment from any pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Questions or disputes about a medication charge, shipment or fulfillment are handled by the party that billed you. Contact us if you need help resolving the issue or have a clinical concern about the medication. See our Shipping Policy and Returns & Refund Policy.

Supplement Dispensary

Asymmetric Health offers patients the option to purchase practitioner-recommended dietary supplements through our Fullscript online dispensary. If you purchase through Fullscript, our practice receives a profit margin on the sale.

We recommend supplements based on our clinical judgment and your individual circumstances. You are not required to purchase supplements through Fullscript. You may obtain the same or comparable products from any retailer, pharmacy or online seller you choose, and you may substitute a comparable product at your discretion. Your medical care and your access to our services are not affected by whether or where you purchase supplements.

Supplement orders are placed with and fulfilled by Fullscript under its own pricing, shipping and returns terms.

Payments and Refunds

Asymmetric Health is a direct-pay practice. We do not bill insurance, Medicare or Medicaid, and we do not issue superbills. We can provide an itemized receipt for services on request.

Membership and clinical service fees are billed through Hint Health. Fees for clinical services are due before care. Laboratory testing ordered as part of an initial evaluation is included in the evaluation fee and is not separately refundable.

An evaluation is fully refundable on request before laboratory testing is drawn. Once testing is drawn, the evaluation fee is non-refundable, including where you do not attend the provider visit.

Prescription medications cannot be returned once dispensed, for safety and regulatory reasons. Limited exceptions for lost, damaged, delayed or incorrect shipments are described in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Whether membership or service fees are eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement is determined by your plan administrator. We make no representation regarding eligibility.

Membership enrollment, billing, cancellation and refund terms are governed by the membership agreement you sign at onboarding. Where that agreement and these Terms conflict on those subjects, the membership agreement controls.

Where these Terms and our Shipping Policy or Returns & Refund Policy conflict, these Terms control.

Website content, including educational materials and downloadable guides, is for general information only and is not medical advice or a substitute for evaluation by a provider. Symptom screening questionnaires offered on this site are educational screening tools, are scored in your browser, and do not constitute diagnosis or establish a provider-patient relationship.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Individual results vary. We make no guarantee or warranty regarding the outcome of any treatment, program or service.

Adverse events involving FDA-regulated products may also be reported directly to the FDA MedWatch program at www.fda.gov/medwatch or 1-800-FDA-1088.
